The Strong Towns Action Lab is live
In January of 2021, after a grueling year that exposed the fragility of our places, Strong Towns launched the Action Lab, a resource for anyone who wants to take local action to rebuild their community and invest in resilience.
In the coming years, we won't restore the health of our communities by waiting for top-down instructions and funds from on high. Citizens have everything they need to build resilience in their place. Strong Towns created the Action Lab to foster the local, bottom-up movement that will heal our neighborhoods, towns, and cities.
The Action Lab was crafted in response to conversations with Strong Towns members and supporters about what would enable them to take action in their communities. This simple, easy-to-navigate online directory will help people of any profession and experience level:
- Connect to Resources— Surf or search for articles, webcast recordings, podcasts, guides, and more to learn strategies for building Strong Towns and share with others.
- Connect to Examples— Discover real stories of regular people successfully applying Strong Towns strategies to identify and address the struggles their community faces.
- Connect to People— Join forces with other Strong Towns advocates across North America—and around the world.
In true Strong Towns fashion, we have created what we consider to be a minimum viable product along with a commitment to improve it over time ... Fortunately, our members have not only given us guidance on what they need most, but they have given us the resources to provide it.
